Mothercare #25Sleeps Oxford Street Launch

Mothercare #25Sleeps

I was very lucky to be invited to the Mothercare Launch. Children were allowed as they had entertainment for them, a face painter and even a special visit from Santa Claus himself!

When we arrived we were offered a drink, very cutely they had smoothies for the children and Oliver loved that! He soon also got given a bag of goodies including another smoothie, crisps and raisins to keep the little ones happy - brilliant idea. It meant we were free (kind of) to have a look around at the store. I'm used to shopping in a large Mothercare store so it was lovely to see how they had made really good use of the space they've got upstairs and downstairs.

Firstly we were taken downstairs to put our coats in a cloak room, Oliver was very confused by it all. Then we had a little look around downstairs at the lovely pushchairs and nursery items, we also saw the baby bouncer we want... but we didn't buy it as we need to leave at least one thing for a family member to buy us as a present!

They have a gorgeous range of pushchairs including bugaboo and silver cross. Two of my favourites. The maternity clothing collection was a reasonable size and they had some lovely pieces that caught my eye including comfy pyjamas. They have a large selection of baby and children's clothing as well as all the essentials needed for a new little one. Downstairs there was a big selection of bedding to choose from with some very cute designs. It is definitely somewhere you should visit when you're pregnant because it has such a variety of items to suit different tastes and budgets.

Myleene Klass was there launching the event and looked amazing, we didn't get a chance to speak to her about her Baby K range which looked lovely! Even Michael found a Baby K dress that he liked! Oliver did bend down to have a look at how high Myleene's shoes were, being 4 years old and with a mummy always in flats he wasn't so sure why they were like that.. *Boring Mummy Shoes! /I just want to be comfy and not fall over* So I had to mutter 'get up Oliver'.

So Michael has this rule regarding baby clothes for our daughter; No tutu's, No leopard print and No bright pink.. So I was thrilled when we got some Baby K Bright pink leopard print socks for her & now all we need to complete mission grumpy daddy is a tutu - every girl needs a tutu right?

Our favorite pieces from The Baby K range..

The Mothercare staff were all really helpful and we spoke to various members of staff about different items throughout the store. They even took the time to get down to Oliver's level and hear what he had to say too.. he was busy picking out a pink superman sleepsuit for his little sister! They were so nice that when I am in the area again I will definitely pop in to have a look around. I also love that there is a Clark's shoes at the back of the store.. Mothercare really do think of everything!

Oliver also got to meet Santa Claus or as he calls him "Santa Christmas" and told him all about the Rescue Bot he wants for Christmas... Yeah you know the one that's sold out everywhere and Santa (mummy) can't find.. eek!

As it was 20% off and we saw some lovely items we brought Baby Girl's outfit for coming home from hospital 'Guess How Much I Love You'.. *sings*

and look what we got... Sophie Giraffe :) well, it was on the wish list!

Hehe

Thank you Mothercare!
